The chicken and the egg, inseparably connected in the circle of life. During the summer edition of the Modefabriek we show them together in their full glory. Stylish black and white chickens gave the immense and impersonal fair hall of the RAI a friendly rural atmosphere.

Installation Chicken + Egg was set up as an integral part of the ‘Food Market’; a grand scale area where visitors could eat during the fair. KNOL was in charge of the design of this market area and decided to give the hall a countrified flavor with the miniature chicken farm, where visitors could also taste fresh egg bites. In collaboration with De Culinaire Werkplaats we designed a black and white egg: boiled on the spot and topped with a filling of yogurt mousse and marinated soybeans. The bites offered a good reason to take a closer look at the chickens, which paraded around in the eccentric chicken village.
