Phase two; building with virtuality |

The ‘Pencil vs Pixel’ project has entered the second stage! In this phase, the physical classroom transforms into an interactive, spatial application that you can unlock via your mobile phone. In cooperation with Augmented Reality artist Luciano Pinna a system is created in which the architecture is still physically perceivable but students are yet experimenting with virtual tools.

In the classroom are several markers, the square graphical icons. With a special app these icons can be read and their function becomes visible. Each marker has its own function. With some you can generate digital cubes, others change color, rotate, clone, and much more. The starting point of an interaction is always the same digital cube. During this new phase the students had to perform the same assignments as last week but with a completely different toolset.
